Our Top Tips to Stay Safe this Long Weekend

With the Easter long weekend upon us, it is important that we are mindful of our safety both in and out of the workplace.  

Here are our top tips to help you, your family, and colleagues stay safe this long weekend:

1. Stop, think & plan

Plan ahead and identify where you will pull over and rest if driving long distances.

 

2. Drive professionally

More traffic means more risk, maintain a 5 second following distance, be patient & allow for varied driving conditions.

 

3. Restrain your load 

Ensure you restrain your load appropriately, double check during your journey.

 

4. Practice good manual handling

Assess the load, bend the knees not the back, & when in doubt, ask for help.

 

5. Be mindful of delivery points

More children will be out and about, take care. When reversing GET OUT AND LOOK.

 

6. Fatigue & Driver Health

Ensure that your eat properly, drink plenty of fluid, and get adequate sleep. Revive to stay alive!
